RTE-UX - HP1000/RTE to Unix/HP-UX/Linux Migration Tools and Services
RTE-UX Home

The RTE-UX...

environment provides a full HP1000/RTE emulation under Unix/HP-UX/Linux and thus provides the means by which RTE applications can be migrated to run under Unix and Linux systems virtually unchanged.

From the Hewlett-Packard HP1000/RTE Homepage:

Effective November 1, 2000, HP 1000 hardware and software products will no longer be available for purchase and product development and enhancements will be discontinued. We urge you to plan for the discontinuance and make your final hardware and software purchases as soon as possible. The current HP 1000 ordering guide is located on the HP 1000-RTE web site http://www.hp.com/go/rte

HP 1000 hardware is available for purchase on a "first-ordered, first-fulfilled" basis until November 1, 2000. All grace periods apply and final hardware purchases will be delivered by April 30, 2001. In the event inventory is depleted prior to October 31, 2000, a special notification will be posted to the HP 1000-RTE web site. In addition, manuals will be available for purchase until the end of support life.

Support Life

Hewlett-Packard has supported the HP 1000 for 34 years. Recently, HP 1000 customers have migrated to new solutions and platforms more rapidly than anticipated. Therefor, Hewlett-Packard intends to provide contractual support until November 1, 2005, for HP 1000 products that are currently available for purchase. Hewlett-Packard must reserve the right to discontinue support prior to 2005, in the event HP can no longer provide the level of support to which you are accustomed and in which we take great pride.

We would like to remind you that contractual support for discontinued products provides response center assistance and fixes for critical defects only.
